So, plan a sweet escape today and see why Niagara truly deserves to be heralded as Canada’s wine country.
What Is Niagara Ice Wine?
Niagara icewine-makers create one of Canada’s most celebrated products by leaving their grapes on the vine into the winter season. When they do this, the water in the grape’s freezes, but the sugars do not. So, you end up with a beautifully sweet wine that pairs perfectly with desserts and fruit but can also be incorporated into savoury tastings that test the creativity of our region’s wine and food connoisseurs.
Niagara Icewine Northern Lights Gala
Spend your evening at Canada’s most prestigious icewine affairs. The Northern Lights Gala is an upscale soiree that pays homage to all things icewine. During this black-tie event, you will be warmly welcomed by 40 wineries who will be excited to pour you their award-winning icewines, including premium reds, whites and bubblies.
The Fallsview Casino Resort will be transformed by masterfully carved ice sculptures, gorgeous décor and the magic of people, with exceptional taste, coming together to indulge in authentically Canadian dishes, service and wine.
