October is an exciting time in Niagara. Stay at Vintage Hotels and enjoy the Fall bounty of Niagara on the Lake with these great events.

Battle of Queenston Heights

The Friends of Fort George and Parks Canada welcome you to commemorate the 205th anniversary of the Battle of Queenston Heights and the death of Major General Isaac Brock.

See inside Brock’s Monument and tour its small museum and gift shop. You’ll have the chance to chat with historical interpreters and participate in activities that bring Niagara’s colourful history to life. The whole family will enjoy trying on period clothing, searching for historical hints during the scavenger hunt and participating in Regency games.

Tour the battle site with interpreters who are dressed the part, and then climb up the 235 steps to the top of Brock’s Monument for an incomparable view of Queenston Heights.

Date: October 7-8
Cost: $3.50 for youth and $4.50 for adults
